Middle Plantation Chapter in Nashville was organized on 11 November 1957 as the fifth chapter of the Tennessee State Society. Virginia Robinson Calvin (Mrs. Earle Pegram) served as Organizing Regent. The chapter was installed with 14 members. Over the years, the chapter has focused on Veterans, historic preservation, and community projects. In 1963, the chapter donated $315 toward the restoration of the Downtown First Presbyterian Church in Nashville built by William Stricklin in 1840. On 18 May 1991, the chapter marked the Hunt-Moore House built in 1856 in Huntland and ancestral home of chapter member Nell Moore Lee.
For 2024, we are focused on supporting local community organizations and have gathered person items and donations for free meals for local schools with students in need.
We are proud to have chapter member Susan Bock and Sheri Harding serving as state officers for 2024-2027 and Linda Mansur serving as 2024-2027 National Treasurer.
